The City of Toronto is composed of a number of neighbourhoods. The main ones are noted below. On the right of each neighbourhood are links to history and overview of the area as well as demographic profiles. At the bottom of the page there are further references to external sites with information on neighbourhoods in Toronto. As a realtor, I know that buyers are influenced greatly by the neighbourhood influences in large cities, such as schools, school rankings, community centres, parks, neighbourhood safety, neighbourhood amenites and architecture (i.e. house styles).
